Saint Seiya - List of Gold Saints

Gold Saints in " Lost Canvas" ( a prequel of Saint Seiya. The action happens in 18th century, more precisely in the year 1743):

Saint Seiya - resume

In every 200 years the Saints of Athena and Athena herself are reborn. They're reborn because in every 200 years there is a Holy War between Athena and Hades. "Saint Seiya" tells how the 5 main characters: Pegasus no Seiya, Cygnus no Hyoga, Drangon no Shiryu, Andromeda no Shun and Phoenix no Ikki fights against many people to save Athena and justice on Earth. In the first episodes they fight Ikki (Shun's brother) for the Gold Cloth (Holy armor that all the Saints have, in this case it's one of the strongest: a Gold Cloth) of Sagittarius (all the Gold Cloths represents the Zodiac Signs, therefore there are only 12 of them). Then they go to Greece, the Sanctuary to fight the Gold Saints. One of them is Hyoga's master: Aquarius no Camus (in the anime Hyoga's master is the Cristal Saint that is student of Camus. However in the manga Camus is directly Hyoga's master). They win their battle with the cost of Camus, Aphrodite (the Pisces no Gold Saint), Deathmask (Cancer no Gold Saint), Shura (Capricorn no Gold Saint) and Saga's life (One of Gemini no Gold Saint and that had killed the real Pope (Shion) and had taken his palce). After that battle the Bronze Saints fight in a land of ice (Asgard) against Odin's god warriors (this chapter only happens in the anime.) After that battle is won they fight Poseidon and his marines. There Hyoga meets his childhood friend Isaak that had trained with him in Siberia and had supposedly died. They also meet Saga's twin brother: Kanon (he would become Gemini no Gold Saint in Hades Chapter). They won and is the end of the battle that the anime ends. The adventure continues in the OVA - Hades chapter: Sanctuary, where the dead Gold Saints are revived and fight beside Hades against Athena. But their true plan is to reach Athena, save her and kill Hades. Athena realizes this and kills herself, reaching the 8th sense that allowed her to travel between the world of the living and of the dead. The chapter of Inferno starts here when the other Saints go to the world of the dead to found Athena and kill Hades. Their journey continues in the chapter Elysion ( a world when only the Gods and the ones chosen by gods could enter) there, they fight Hades and killed him. There is a heaven's chapter that is made in one movie.

Saint Seiya

Saint Seiya or The Knights of the Zodiac is an anime and manga series written by Masami Kurumada and it has 114 episodes plus OVAS - The Hades Chapter and 5 movies. It tells the story of the Saints of Athena that are divided in three levels: Bronze Saints (the weakest), the Silver Saints and the Gold Saints (the strongest) and how they fight for justice on earth. The main characters are 5 Bronze Saints: Seiya, Hyoga, Shiryu, Shun and Ikki.
